The binder foot is an easy way to add bias tape trim to finish an edge, which is a great construction method for reversible garments. You can also create frog closures, button loops, and ties. The spiral cone on this foot wraps the bias tape (pre-folded or not) around the fabric edge. You can use purchased bias tapes (narrow) or self-made bias strips and attach them to fabric in one easy step.

Directions for Use: Put the binder piping foot onto the machine. Makes sure the needle passes through the center of the needle. Fold the binding in the middle and cut it to a point. Insert the pointed end into the binder scroll until it comes out at the lower end. Place the edge of the material that is to be bound between the scroll of the binder and pass it and the binding under the presser foot. Lower the presser bar and begin to sew. Folded binding should be inserted into the outside slot of the binder piping foot.
